This is a reproduction of an entire magazine using a monoprint process sometimes known as Xerox lithography.
The harsh lights and glossy pages of porn magazines are distinctly not sexy to me. I wanted to see if I could make something sexier simply by using materials that I find sexy, while also playing with the ideas of low art (porn) and high art (erotica.)
This piece was displayed in a custom-made box with 100 grooves, one for each print. There was a peekaboo window to the front page and viewers could choose whether to don gloves and rifle through the rest or not.
